The latest expansion will add a 32-bed medical/surgical unit to the tower’s third floor. The unit is expected to open in 2013.
The third-floor unit is the latest of several previously announced expansion projects underway the hospital, totaling $68 million. These projects include a new emergency department, a renovation of the existing medical and surgical unit, a new ICU and a new progressive care unit, according to the hospital.
