The expansion will include a larger emergency department with 36 patient bays and eight observation beds. It will also include seven new operating rooms and an imaging suite. Mount Sinai Queens also plans to expand its outpatient medical services by adding a multispecialty medical practice and additional diagnostic and laboratory services.
The project is expected to be complete by 2016.
