Construction on the brand-new building will begin Nov. 1 and wrap up about 18 months later. Simone Healthcare Development will work with Montefiore to ensure the building suits the needs of Montefiore and the Riverdale community.

Montefiore plans to provide urgent care, primary care and specialty services, including cardiology, nephrology, orthopedics and complete radiology services, at the new location. The hospital has partnered with WESTMED Practice Partners, a management services organization that will provide administrative and technological support and operational and financial services.

“Montefiore is energized by the vibrant community in Riverdale and we look forward to bringing the neighborhood the best that Montefiore has to offer — exceptional physicians and well-coordinated care that is centered around the patients and their families,” Steven Safyer, MD, president and CEO of Montefiore Medical Center, said in the news release.
