Minnesota Hospital Delays Major Expansion

Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater, Minn., is putting a four-phase, 20-year expansion project on hold because of concerns over the current economy, according to the Minneapolis/St. Paul Star Tribune.

While Lakeview has not seen patient volumes decrease, figures the hospital is closely monitoring, Lakeview has suffered investment losses, and is postponing this expansion in order to protect its stability, according to the report.

The delay could last six months to a year.
