The floor is part of the Miller Children’s pavilion, which began construction in 2009, and includes 24 private rooms and a large playroom. The new floor was funded with part of $98 million the hospital received through Proposition 3, a bond initiative for children’s hospitals, and $5.7 million from a fundraising campaign.
