A YouTube poster named Juan Cinco uploaded the video of the incident. He said he called for an Uber driver but when the driver arrived Dr. Ramkissoon got in the backseat of the car and would not get out.
In the video, Dr. Ramkissoon can be seen kneeing the driver in the groin, attempting to hit him and throwing various items out of the car, including the driver’s iPhone.
Commenting on the young physician’s violent tirade, Jackson Health System’s Director of Communications said Ms. Ramkissoon has been placed on administrative leave. She has also been removed from all clinical duties, according to the report.
The incident took place Jan. 17, in downtown Miami and the YouTube video of the altercation has been viewed nearly 2 million times.
