The Tucson, Ariz.-based University of Arizona Cancer Center will open the new facility at the Phoenix Biomedical Campus.
The six-floor, 230,000-square-foot center will offer services such as infusion, radiation oncology, diagnostic imaging, endoscopic/interventional radiology, a breast center, clinical lab space and a prevention/executive health clinic.
The board has also approved a 20-year facility lease with St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Ariz., a member of Dignity Health. When the lease is finalized, it will result in a collaborated effort towards providing cancer treatments and care.
The clinic should be open to patients by early 2015, according to a University of Arizona Cancer Center report.
Update: The lease agreement between University of Arizona and St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center has been finalized.
