Memorial Hermann Unveils New Cancer Center in Houston

Houston-based Memorial Hermann – Texas Medical Center has established a new cancer center that includes a team of specialists from University of Texas Health Medical School.

The center, located on the 29th floor of the hospital’s medical plaza, includes private patient rooms and comprehensive patient support services, such as social workers and customized therapy. It also has advanced cancer technology, including what is considered to be one of the most versatile cancer radiation devices — Varian Trilogy linear accelerator.

“We recognize that people have a choice for cancer treatment, and we are proud to be leaders in providing superior, comprehensive and accessible patient-centered care to the Houston community,” Robert J. Amato, MD, medical director of the Memorial Hermann Cancer Center – TMC and professor at UTHealth, said in the release.
