Mayo Clinic’s Destination Medical Center May Include $100M Hospital Tower

An official from Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic said that if the clinic’s Destination Medical Center is approved by the Minnesota Legislature, one of the first concrete results could be a $100 million hospital tower on the Saint Marys Hospital campus in Rochester, according to a Post-Bulletin report.

Destination Medical Center is a $5 billion economic development initiative by Mayo Clinic to secure Minnesota’s status as a global medical destination center in the future. It is estimated to include approximately $3.5 billion in new capital investments on its Rochester campus, financed by Mayo Clinic, and $2.2 billion leveraged in private investments.
