Mayo Clinic in Phoenix Breaks Ground on $182M Proton Therapy Cancer Center

Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix is breaking ground on a $182 million proton beam cancer therapy facility, according to a hospital news release.

Proton beam therapy is designed to more precisely target cancer cells and avoid healthy tissue. Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., is constructing a similar facility.
