St. Mary’s Hospital, which already had a relationship with MedStar, will have access to teaching and residency programs, clinical trials, research and physician recruitment services in the Medstar system.
St. Mary’s Hospital was the first hospital in Southern Maryland to implement a fully integrated electronic medical records system, a barcode medication administration device and computerized physician order entry.
