Maine Coast Memorial Hospital Breaks Ground on $2M Cancer Center Expansion

Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth has broken ground on a $2.1 million cancer center expansion, according to a Bangor Daily News report.

Construction of a new emergency department last year made the old ER space available for the Mary Dow Center for Cancer Care to expand. The new center will include twice the number of infusion chairs, additional exam rooms, private and semiprivate patient rooms, a pharmacy, extra office space and a healing garden.
