Loyola University Medical Center (Maywood, Ill.). Loyola’s Center for Heart & Vascular Medicine Cardiology offers expertise in diagnosing and treating a myriad of heart and vascular conditions. Loyola, a Magnet-recognized hospital, is the first and only hospital in Illinois to offer a new, noninvasive technology to test for coronary artery disease. The medical center was ranked No. 49 nationally for cardiology and heart surgery by U.S. News & World Report for 2015-16, tying with Richmond-based Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center.
