Laurel Regional Hospital in Maryland Works to Boost Image in Community

John Spearman, the new president and COO of Laurel (Md.) Regional Hospital, is seeking to boost the hospital’s image in the community to increase patient volume and quality of care, according to a Baltimore Sun report.

To accomplish this goal, he is meeting with the city’s officials and organizations, and encouraging hospital leaders to be more engaged in the community. For example, the hospital is planning town hall meetings hosted by the mayor and city council to discuss the hospital.

Mr. Spearman will also build relationships with hospital staff to establish a “strategic framework about how this hospital operates,” according to the report.
