From Nov. 7-18, Jordan Hospital will offer seven daily, low-dose, non-contrast chest CT scans at no charge to asymptomatic men and women 55-74 years of age with a 30-year history of smoking. The service is also being extended to former smokers who quit less than 15 years ago and have no history of any cancer, except non-melanoma skin cancer.
Patients diagnosed with lung cancer will be evaluated and treated by a multidisciplinary team with the Jordan Hospital Cancer Committee and Cancer Center. Also, current smokers will be counseled and directed to Jordan Hospital’s “Quitters” smoking cessation program.
