The Magnet-designated hospital offers a wide array of programs and centers dedicated to cardiac care, including the Johns Hopkins Women’s Cardiovascular Health Center and the hospital’s Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center of Excellence, which provides long-term care for patients with the genetic heart condition hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Since 1983, heart transplants have been performed at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
