SullivanCotter released its 2011 “Survey of Manager and Executive Compensation in Hospitals and Health Systems,” which collected data from more than 290 health systems and 930 hospitals. Overall, data was collected for roughly 23,900 hospital and health system executives and managers between March and July 2011.
“For next year, the data indicate average projected budgets of 3 percent for executives and 2.7 percent for managers in health systems and hospitals, although these data were collected prior to the current economic turmoil,” said SullivanCotter Managing Principal Tom Pavlik in the release. “However, we did see around a 4.5 percent increase in total cash compensation levels.”
