Jackson Health System to Open $1.3M Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Unit

Miami-based Jackson Health System announced (pdf) the upcoming opening of a new pediatric bone marrow transplant unit at its Holtz Children’s Hospital in Miami.

The seven-bed unit replaces an existing two-bed unit, and will serve pediatric patients with different types of childhood cancers and sickle cell disease.

The unit cost $1.3 million, according to a Miami Herald report.
