IU Health Goshen, South Bend Clinic End Cancer Center Partnership

The South Bend (Ind.) Clinic has purchased Mishawaka, Ind.-based Cancer Care Partners from IU Health Goshen (Ind.), according to a South Bend Tribune report.

The South Bend Clinic and IU Health Goshen mutually decided to end their partnership this summer after collaborating on the outpatient cancer center since September 2010, according to the report.

Under the partnership, IU Health Goshen contributed medical, naturopathic and radiation oncologists to work at the facility. Now, Memorial Hospital of South Bend (Ind.) will provide radiation oncology and radiology specialists for the cancer center, and the South Bend Clinic will maintain sole ownership of the facility.

IU Health Goshen decided to end its relationship with the South Bend Clinic to focus more on expanding its Goshen-area research and treatment programs, according to the report.
