Investor-based, private hospitals stand to gain market share due to better access to credit than nonprofit hospitals have, according to a report by the Colorado Springs Business Journal.

Anthony Giordano, vice president of BKD Corporate Finance, who just completed a financing deal for an acute-care hospital with an investor base, said there is “no shortage” of groups that just lend to the healthcare sector.
