1. Waukegan, Ill.-based Vista Health System. Vista Health plans to construct a $131 million new hospital in Lindenhurst, Ill. The state board had plans to review its proposal on Feb. 5, but Vista requested that it be delayed to March 26. Opponents charged that March 26 is six days past the six-month deadline for consideration, but the board has overruled these objections.
2. Evanston, Ill.-based NorthShore University Health System. NorthShore wants to add four operating rooms and expand areas for recovery and same-day surgery as part of its $154 million renovation of Skokie (Ill.) Hospital, according to a request the health system filed with the board. The board will now review the application.
3. Waltham, Mass.-based Fresenius Medical Care A.G. Fresenius wants to close its 21-station dialysis clinic in Chicago and replace it with a new one 2.4 miles away, according to the application filed with the board. The board is yet to approve the project.
