HonorHealth team debuts valve replacement procedure in Arizona

A team at HonorHealth Scottsdale (Ariz.) Shea Medical Center performed the state’s first tricuspid valve replacement using the Edwards Lifesciences’ Evoque system outside of a clinical trial.

Cardiologists Haidar Yassin, MD, and Robert Riley, MD, were part of the team that performed the surgery, according to a Dec. 4 news release from HonorHealth. 

Cardiologists at Chicago-based Northwestern Medicine recently completed their 100th transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement procedure using the Evoque system.
