Pearland Medical Center will be a 144,000-square-foot, 30-bed acute-care hospital. HCA Gulf Coast Division will build the hospital on a site that currently hosts a freestanding emergency department, imaging center and medical office building.
The hospital will house surgical suites, medical/surgical beds, intensive care beds, an emergency department and an imaging department with a catheterization lab and MRI, CT, echocardiogram testing and nuclear medicine equipment. The hospital will also offer women’s services, including digital mammography, labor and delivery suites, cesarean section operating rooms and a newborn nursery.
The hospital will be designed to allow for incremental expansion to meet future needs, according to the release.
HCA Gulf Coast Division plans to break ground on the hospital in 2013 and expects to complete the project by the end of 2014.
