Harrisburg Hospital in Pennsylvania More Than Doubles Size of ED

Harrisburg (Pa.) Hospital has opened its newly constructed emergency department, which is more than double the size of the previous department, according to a Patriot-News report.

The new ED, which cost the hospital $27 million to build, was designed to handle 11,000 visits a year and has four triage stations and 52 treatment areas. The older department housed only one triage station and 27 treatment areas.
