The hospital chose to keep “Margaret Mary” in its name to honor its founders, Margaret Hillenbrand and her daughter Mary Mitchell, according to the release.
The names of the hospital’s offsite locations, including a rehabilitation center, cancer center and physician center, will also slightly change to include the Margaret Mary name. Coinciding with the name change, the hospital will focus more on educating patients and families about the different services Margaret Mary Health’s facilities offer, according to the release.
