George Washington University appoints cardiac surgery chief

George Washington University in Washington, D.C., has appointed Steven Boyce, MD, chief of its Division of Cardiac Surgery.

Dr. Boyce will also serve as a professor of surgery for the George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences, according to a July 17 news release from the university. 

He previously served as faculty at Boston-based Harvard Medical School and Washington, D.C.-based Georgetown Medical School.

Dr. Boyce began his role as division chief July 1.
