Under the expansion, patients will receive a genetic test analyzing DNA from a blood or saliva sample to detect changes or mutations that increase risk of cancer. Licensed genetic counselors will then work with patients to review the results and their medical and family history during clinic and follow-up appointments, according to a Dec. 3 system news release.
