West Tennessee Healthcare board members voted to build the center for no more than $47,672,067, including $3 million for a new linear accelerator. The center will be named Alice and Carl Kirkland Cancer Center after the Kirklands, who donated $5 million toward the center, according to the report.
The nearly 85,000-square-foot facility will include three linear accelerator vaults, 24 infusion stations, 24 exam and procedure areas and nine physician offices.
