ETCH’s board of directors approved the plan last month, which includes moving the neonatal intensive care unit to a new building and putting the hospital’s surgery services on one floor.

The purpose of the expansion is to broaden and improve the neonatal ICU and surgery services that ETCH now offers.

Construction on the 245,000-square-foot facility will break ground in summer 2014.
