According to the report, the seven-story cancer center, part of Duke University Hospital, was projected to open in late 2012. The cancer center is also estimated to cost less than its planned $235 million price tag and is a part of an $880 million building project that will also include a new hospital tower, the Duke Medicine Pavilion and a School of Medicine Learning Center.
