Peninsula Cancer Center wants to build a cancer center off — but near — the CPH campus, while CPH plans to build a center on campus. CPH contents that an on-campus cancer facility is more convenient for patients because they would not need transportation. However, Peninsula Cancer Center estimates most cancer center patients will not be hospital inpatients.
The Kenai Peninsula Borough plans to place an ordinance on the borough assembly agenda regarding the dispute.
