Phoebe Putney Health System Plans New Women’s and Children’s Hospital

Albany, Ga.-based Phoebe Putney Health System is planning a freestanding women’s and children’s hospital at Phoebe North in Albany, according to a Fox 31 report.

Phoebe is planning the new facility to enhance women’s and children’s care, as these were identified by Phoebe’s medical executive committee as areas of need. In addition, Phoebe said a new women’s and children’s hospital would open up room in Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital to expand critical care and trauma service, also identified by the committee as areas of need, according to the report.
