CMS Seeking Comments on Cardiac and Outpatient Quality Measures

CMS is accepting comments on two cardiac outcomes measures and four quality measures for hospital outpatients, according to CMS.

The two cardiac measures, with an Aug. 25 deadline or comment, are for complications following implantable cardioverter defibrillator implantation and for readmission following percutaneous coronary intervention.

The four outpatient measures, with an Aug. 28 deadline for comment, involve cardiovascular, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and cataract surgery patients.
