Dr. Gilfillan will pursue “new opportunities” once he vacates CMMI’s top post, according to the report. Prior to joining CMMI, Dr. Gilfillan was a consultant for Geisinger Consulting Services.
Patrick Conway, MD, CMS’ CMO and director of the Center for Clinical Standards and Quality, will serve as acting director of CMMI in addition to his other roles, Politico reported.
