The navigator program helps consumers understand health insurance and the health insurance market place. Open to both new and returning navigator applicants, the grants are available to eligible individuals in addition to private and public entities.
Following finalized regulations from May, navigators must be present in the marketplace service area to provide face-to-face assistance. Navigators must submit weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports to CMS detailing their progress in their communities.
