Mission Health in North Carolina Lays Off 8 in Marketing, Web Services Department

Asheville, N.C.-based Mission Health has laid off eight people in its marketing and web services department, according to a Citizen-Times report.

The hospital said it restructured these departments to “address an evolving healthcare market in Western North Carolina and to enable the department to better meet current marketing needs and prepare for complexities in the future,” according to the report.

The hospital plans to use resources from the local business community to support the departments and to rebuild many of its marketing services internally over time.
