Since opening in Oct. 2010, the Proton Center has used proton therapy, an advanced form of radiation treatment, to treat patients with noncancerous and cancerous tumors in the brain, central nervous system, head and neck, lung, gastrointestinal tract and prostate. The center also treats sarcomas and many pediatric cancers.
