New York’s Westchester Medical Center Opens 33-Physician Cardiovascular Practice

Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y., has launched Westchester Heart and Vascular, a large multispecialty cardiovascular practice with seven locations, according to a Westfair Online report.

The practice is based in Hawthorne, N.Y. WMC President and CEO Michael D. Israel said hospital officials began discussions last year with physicians in the region, many of whom were in private or solo group practices. So far, the hospital has recruited 10 new physicians for the practice, which includes 33 physicians. The hospital has plans to add another five.
