Under the agreement, Saint Vincent will pay the Cleveland Clinic an undetermined amount for an evaluation and collaboration and will create patient-treatment plans similar to those followed at the Cleveland Clinic. The two hospitals will remain independent, however.

Saint Vincent plans to use the clinical collaboration as part of a strategic plan to improve quality and stop financial losses.
