Buffalo (Minn.) Hospital. Located on the western edge of the Twin Cities metropolitan area, this hospital has 65 licensed beds and employs 432 people. Buffalo Hospital was born out of a three-room medical practice above a hardware store that opened in 1905. In 2015, Buffalo Hospital was named a Truven 100 Top Hospital and an iVantage HealthStrong Top Hospital. Also this year, Healthgrades recognized the facility with a Patient Safety Excellence Award and CareChex ranked Buffalo Hospital No. 21 in the state of Minnesota for overall hospital care.
