Brigham and Women’s Hospital Selects NIH Director as New President

Elizabeth G. Nabel, MD, director of the NIH’s National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, will become the next president of Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Faulkner Hospital in Boston, according to a release from Brigham and Women’s.

Dr. Nabel, a cardiologist who graduated from Cornell University Medical College and trained at the Brigham and Women’s, succeeds Gary Gottlieb, who will become president and CEO of Partners HealthCare, the hospitals’ parent organization.
