The name change will take effect Nov. 22. Hospital CEO Wade Sturgeon said the town names of Biggs and Gridley in the community hospital’s name “kind of polarizes” the organization. “We want to be seen as more than a small community hospital for two towns,” he said in the report.
Mr. Sturgeon and the board agreed that changing the name to Orchard Hospital will make the organization more well-known in the area, according to the report.
