Beaumont Hospital-Troy (Mich.). Like its fellow hospital in Royal Oak, Beaumont Hospital-Troy has committed to work on all six HHI Challenges. In 2015, Beaumont Hospital-Troy began competing for Practice Greenhealth’s awards. In its first year to enter the competition, the Troy hospital was ranked among the top 10 hospitals in the country in the reducing waste category, earning it a Circle of Excellence award. It also received Practice Greenhealth’s Emerald Award, a highly competitive award which recognizes applicants that exhibit advanced programs and exemplary scores in a range of sustainability categories.
