Under the eight-year agreement, USF residents will continue to train in pediatrics at ACH, and ACH will continue to provide support for ongoing USF clinical programs in pediatric allergy/immunology and pediatric nephrology at ACH.

In addition, ACH and USF will expand pediatric research efforts at the Children’s Research Institute, a Tampa-based USF Health facility adjacent to ACH. Several CRI-based researchers holding endowed chairs in the USF Health Department of Pediatrics will continue their research.

Funds from two unfilled endowed chairs will support a collaborative research enterprise and expanded research infrastructure for ACH and USF. The two new collaborative research program endowments are the ACH/USF Program Endowment in Health Services Sciences and the Andrews/Daicoff Program Endowment in Pediatric Cardiology at ACH.
