Under the alliance, Yona will add Cytta’s VeriSmartPhone based remote medical monitoring EvrCare technology to its Native American Health Initiative to improve medical monitoring for Native Americans living in remote areas, according to a news release.
“We recognize the ‘extra hardships’ faced by Native American patients who must travel long distances to receive monitoring of vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, oxygen levels and blood glucose,” said Dan Retter, Yona CEO in the release. “We believe that patient quality of service will be greatly enhanced by the Cytta/Doctor Directed technology implemented on smart phones. Patients and their healthcare team will receive more timely and actionable patient information with much less patient travel.”
