The U.S. Department of Agriculture's annual call for distance learning and telemedicine grant proposals will close July 17.
The distance learning and telemedicine program aims to help rural communities leverage telecommunications technology to overcome education and healthcare challenges. USDA encourages local governments, federally-recognized tribes, nonprofits and businesses to apply.
Grant funding ranges from $50,000 to $500,000, although selected applicants must provide at least a 15 percent match. This funding can be used for purchasing video equipment, computer hardware and technical assistance, among other capital assets.
