The Monthly Telehealth Regional Tracker uses Fair Health data to track how telehealth is evolving year over year and found the following trends in usage from 2020 to 2021:
- From 2020 to 2021, urgent care telehealth usage increased by 14 percent.
- From 2016 to 2021, national telehealth utilization grew 5,017 percent due largely in part to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- In 2021, telehealth had the largest increase of medical claim lines, claiming 3.7 percent nationally.
