Press Ganey to offer medical practices telemedicine surveys to help measure their program's success

Press Ganey launched a new service for its providers as a way to enhance patients' telemedicine experience.

The Telemedicine for Medical Practice surveys are two questionnaires made up of scientifically validated questions that address patients' experience during the virtual visit in an effort to identify performance metrics and trends over time. Organizations can also access Press Ganey's databases to compare their performance against their peers' virtual visits or traditional in-person visits.

"With the growing application of digital technology in healthcare, virtual interactions with patients are on the rise," said James Merlino, MD, Press Ganey's chief transformation officer. "The unique nature of telemedicine calls for specialized feedback mechanisms so doctors can ensure the patient experience of virtual care is equal to their standards for face-to-face visits. This new solution allows physicians to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality care for both virtual and in-person patient visits."
