Under the agreement, Northwell Direct will serve as a subcontractor for the department and will provide consultation services to assist its medical staff in providing care to U.S. government workers and their families overseas, according to a May 31 press release Northwell shared with Becker’s.

Northwell specialists will also provide pre-deployment support for medical clearance and clinical case reviews.

The agreement gives providers within the State Department access to more than 100 specialties across medical, surgical, psychiatry and pediatrics, according to the release.

At the Becker's 11th Annual IT + Revenue Cycle Conference: The Future of AI & Digital Health, taking place September 14–17 in Chicago, healthcare executives and digital leaders from across the country will come together to explore how AI, interoperability, cybersecurity, and revenue cycle innovation are transforming care delivery, strengthening financial performance, and driving the next era of digital health.
