Memorial Healthcare partnered with Advanced ICU Care, a telemedicine provider offering around-the-clock telemonitoring, to develop the program. Advanced ICU Care’s intensivist physicians and critical care specialists — who work off-site in Advanced ICU Care’s centralized operations centers — monitor patients’ vital signs, medications, labs and clinical status to identify problems before they become urgent.
The e-ICU program also uses two-way video technology, so Memorial Healthcare bedside staff and remote Advanced ICU Care staff can communicate.
